I’m really pleased with the way this quilt turned out! I was so excited when I first saw the Alison Glass Handcrafted line at Quilt Market a year ago. Alison does such a great job with color. It’s all handmade (like a batik) so you get small variations in the print. The line is really great to work with! I started this quilt last Fall at Camp Stitchalot. All the Campers were oohing and ahhing over the colors in this project. I decided to use my Sunset Strips pattern and break up the bold colors with some bars of Cotton Supreme Solids in French Vanilla. This quilt is lap sized (54″ x 66″). I used the French Vanilla as the binding as well and it’s all hand sewn to the back. This pattern is quick and easy to put together. It was nice to have a project to take to the sewing retreat that I could actually finish in the weekend!..
This morning I finally listed all my patterns on Craftsy! I have 6 new patterns to coordinate with next year’s Color Inspirations Club with RJR’s Cotton Supreme Solids. There are NO REPEATS throughout the year. So you aren’t stuck with 4 of the same blue fabric. This is a great way to increase your solids stash! By the end of the year you will have 120 different solids! Hopefully, you are using them up as the year goes on. All six of the new patterns use 10 fat quarters and then some amount of background fabric to create the quilt top. This means you can use ANY Color Inspirations Club month to make whichever pattern you choose! There are varying sizes from small to Queen in the..
